The Boy and the Truck
It happened on a beautiful sunny day, Mr. Mário, an old truck driver, arrived home after 20 long years of work and, very proud, called his wife to see his beautiful truck, the first one he had managed to buy after all those years of struggle. and suffocate, and from that day on, he would be his own boss.
When he arrives at the door of his house with his wife, he finds his 6-year-old son, happily hammering on the shiny truck’s bodywork.
Angry, screaming, he asks what his son was doing and, without hesitation, in the midst of his fury, mercilessly hammers his son’s hands, who starts crying without understanding what he was feeling.
The truck driver’s wife runs to help her son, but there is little she can do. It was late. Crying with her son manages to bring her husband back to reality, and together they take him to the hospital to bandage the wounds caused.
After several hours of surgery, the disconsolate doctor, quite dejected, calls the parents and informs them that the lacerations were so extensive that all the child’s fingers had to be amputated, but that the boy was very strong and had resisted. well to the emergency act, parents should wait for him to wake up in the room.
Upon waking up, the boy was all smiles and said to his father:
Daddy I’m sorry I just wanted to fix your truck like you taught me the other day. Do not be mad with me!
The tender father, deeply moved, said that it didn’t matter anymore, that he wasn’t even angry anymore and that he hadn’t damaged the bodywork of his truck.
The boy with radiant eyes, full of joy, asked:
You mean you’re not mad at me anymore?
No! replied the father.
If I’m forgiven daddy, when will my little fingers grow again?
Despite being strong, this story has a very real context, because at the moment of impetus, at the moment of anger, we deeply hurt those we love, and many times, even with regret, we can no longer “cure” the wounds we left.
I hope that once you have finished reading this message you will be as impressed as I was. But it is not to simply process emotions.
The Bible says that we can be nervous and even angry, but that we must not sin. “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.” (Ephesians 4:26).
This message is for you to wake up to the reality that surrounds us and to think about your attitudes. I would like everyone to reflect and realize that because of material things, when we feel that we have lost something material, we have destroyed many lives and abandoned many friends. We are impetuous by nature, but we need to learn tolerance and humility from Christ. With Jesus, we can change our attitudes in order to avoid the irreversible damage we cause with our actions.
“If I’m forgiven daddy, when will my little fingers grow back?” In this naive phrase used by the little boy that will never have an answer, because there is no way for a member of our body to be born again, there is a certain truth for human beings. So that he does not cause visible and irreversible damage, he must be born again, but not of the flesh, not of a woman, but of the Holy Spirit of God.
“Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3).
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again”. (John 3:7).
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:5-6).
Be different, be born again. Accept Christ as Savior and Lord and start living a life of peace with God. Don’t harm others and especially don’t harm yourself!
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
O Garoto e o Caminhão
Aconteceu num belo dia de sol, Sr. Mário, um velho caminhoneiro, chega em casa depois de 20 longos anos de trabalho e, todo orgulhoso, chama sua esposa para ver seu lindo caminhão, o primeiro que conseguira comprar após todos aqueles anos de luta e sufoco, e a partir daquele dia, seria seu próprio patrão.
Quanto chega à porta de sua casa com a esposa, encontra seu filhinho de 6 anos, martelando alegremente a lataria do reluzente caminhão.
Irado, aos berros pergunta o que o filho estava fazendo e, sem hesitar, no meio de seu furor, martela impiedosamente as mãos do filho, que se põe a chorar sem entender o que estava acontecendo.
A mulher do caminhoneiro corre em socorro do filho, mas pouco pôde fazer. Já era tarde. Chorando junto ao filho consegue trazer o marido à realidade e, juntos o levam ao hospital, para fazer um curativo nos machucados provocados.
Passada várias horas de cirurgia, o médico desconsolado, bastante abatido, chama os pais e informa que as dilacerações foram de tão grande extensão, que todos os dedos da criança tiveram que ser amputados, mas que de resto o menino era muito forte e tinha resistido bem ao ato cirúrgico, devendo os pais aguardá-lo acordar no quarto.
Ao acordar, o menino foi só sorrisos e disse ao pai:
Papai me desculpe, eu só queria consertar seu caminhão, como você me ensinou outro dia. Não fique bravo comigo!
O pai enternecido, profundamente comovido disse que não tinha mais importância, que já nem estava mais bravo e que não havia estragado a lataria do seu caminhão.
O menino com os olhos radiantes, cheios de alegria, perguntou:
Quer dizer que não está mais bravo comigo?
Não! – respondeu o pai.
Se eu estou perdoado papai, quando meus dedinhos vão nascer de novo?
Apesar de forte, esta estória tem um contexto muito real, porque na hora do ímpeto, na hora da raiva machucamos profundamente quem amamos, e em muitas das vezes, mesmo arrependidos, não podemos mais “curar” as feridas que deixamos.
Espero que assim que acabem de ler esta mensagem fiquem tão impressionados quanto eu fiquei. Mas não é para simplesmente ficarem comovidos. A Bíblia diz que podemos ficar nervosos e até mesmo irarmos, mas que não devemos pecar. “Irai-vos, e não pequeis; não se ponha o sol sobre a vossa ira”. (Efésios 4:26).
Esta mensagem é para que acordem para a realidade que nos cerca e para que pensem em suas atitudes. Gostaria que todos refletissem e que percebessem que por causa de coisas materiais, quando sentimos que perdemos algo material destruímos muitas vidas e abandonamos muitos amigos. Somos impetuosos por natureza, mas precisamos aprender com Cristo a tolerância e a humildade. Com Jesus podemos mudar nossas atitudes a fim de evitar os danos irreversíveis que causamos com nossos atos.
“Se eu estou perdoado papai, quando meus dedinhos vão nascer de novo?” Nesta ingênua frase usada pelo garotinho que jamais terá resposta, pois não há como um membro do nosso corpo nascer de novo, existe uma certa verdade para o ser humano. Para que ele não cause danos terríveis e irreversíveis é necessário que ele nasça de novo, mas não da carne, não de mulher, mas do Espírito Santo de Deus.
“Jesus respondeu, e disse-lhe: Na verdade, na verdade te digo que aquele que não nascer de novo, não pode ver o reino de Deus”. (João 3:3).
“Não te maravilhes de te ter dito: Necessário vos é nascer de novo”. (João 3:7).
“Jesus respondeu: Na verdade, na verdade te digo que aquele que não nascer da água e do Espírito, não pode entrar no reino de Deus. O que é nascido da carne é carne, e o que é nascido do Espírito é espírito”. (João 3:5-6).
Seja diferente, nasça de novo. Aceite a Cristo como Salvador e Senhor e passe a viver uma vida de paz com Deus. Não cause danos aos outros e principalmente não cause danos a você mesmo!
