Lord’s Prayer – English Revised Version, 1881
Oração do Pai Nosso – Versão Inglesa Revisada, 1881
“This version of the Lord’s Prayer is from the English Bible revision, whitch attempted to produce a more accurate translation of the
Scriptures into English from a reconstructed original based on the collation of all known manuscripts.
This was the first in which the past tense, “as we have forgiven our debtors”, was restored”.
“The American Revised Version wording of the Lord’s Prayers is identical with that of the Revised Version 1900,
except in the first line, which reads: “Our Father who art in heaven”
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
as in heaven, so on earth.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil one 1
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever.
Amen
1 Marginal note: “or from evil”
Os ímpios irão para o Seol, sim, todas as nações que se esquecem de Deus.
