\nFoi residir num lar para judeus convertidos, onde aprendeu o of\u00edcio da tipografia. Sentindo o chamado mission\u00e1rio preparou-se. Inicialmente foi para Portugal, como mission\u00e1rio da Igreja Congregacional. Teve que se retirar dali ao escrever um folheto pol\u00eamico, acusando a Igreja Cat\u00f3lica Romana.<\/p>\n

Chegou ao Brasil, onde conheceu o mission\u00e1rio Zacarias Clay Taylor, que o convenceu de que os batistas realizavam o verdadeiro batismo b\u00edblico, batizou-se nessa denomina\u00e7\u00e3o. Foi nomeado pela Foreing Mission Board, ou Junta de Richmond, como \u00e9 conhecida em 1891.<\/p>\n

Casou-se em 1893 com Emma Morton Ginsburg, tamb\u00e9m mission\u00e1ria norte-americana, com quem teve seis filhos.<\/p>\n

Viveu em Niter\u00f3i, Campos, S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis, Pernambuco e finalmente S\u00e3o Paulo. Em 1891, criou o Cantor Crist\u00e3o, hin\u00e1rio das Igrejas Batistas no Brasil. Fundou o Semin\u00e1rio Teol\u00f3gico Batista do Norte do Brasil, localizado na cidade de Recife (PE) e foi secret\u00e1rio da Junta de Miss\u00f5es Nacionais da Conven\u00e7\u00e3o Batista Brasileira.<\/p>\n

Foi o Primeiro Pastor da Primeira Igreja Batista em S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o de Meriti, exercendo seu mandato de 1925 a 1926. Em 1894 fundou o jornal As Boas Novas.<\/p>\n

Foi preso em 9 de janeiro de 1894 na cidade de S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis ao pregar o evangelho, mas depois de 10 dias foi solto. Nesta cidade atualmente existem mais de trinta igrejas batistas.<\/p>\n

Em 8 de abril de 1902, em Macei\u00f3, traduziu o hino Uma barca naufragando, quem lhe valer\u00e1? que faz parte do Cantor Crist\u00e3o.

Em 1912, chegando a Londres, vindo de Lisboa, reservou passagem para Nova Iorque. Algumas viagens foram suprimidas, restando a Ginsburg escolher entre viajar no Majestic, no dia 2 de abril ou Titanic no dia 10 de abril.<\/p>\n

O desejo de embarcar no Titanic era grande, mas resolveu antecipar sua ida para Nova Iorque. Viajando num navio bem modesto, Ginsburg chegou a Nova Iorque em 15 de abril, naquele domingo tr\u00e1gico.<\/p>\n

Foi ma\u00e7om, sendo fundador da Loja Ma\u00e7\u00f4nica Aux\u00edlio \u00e0 Virtude, na cidade de S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis.<\/p>\n

Faleceu em 1927, deixando escrita a sua biografia num livro chamado Um Judeu Errante no Brasil, publicado pela JUERP em 1932, traduzido pelo pastor Manuel Avelino de Souza.<\/p>\n

\nHe went to live in a home for our converts, where he learned the craft of typography. Feeling the missionary call, he prepared himself. Initially he went to Portugal, as a missionary of the Congregational Church. He had to withdraw from there by writing a controversial pamphlet, accusing the Roman Catholic Church.<\/p>\n

He arrived in Brazil, where he met the missionary Zacarias Clay Taylor, who convinced him that the Baptists were carrying out true biblical baptism, he was baptized in that denomination. It was appointed by the Foreing Mission Board, or Richmond Board, as it is known in 1891.<\/p>\n

In 1893 he married Emma Morton Ginsburg, also an American missionary, with whom he had six children.<\/p>\n

He lived in Niter\u00f3i, Campos, S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis, Pernambuco and finally S\u00e3o Paulo. In 1891, he created the Cantor Crist\u00e3o, a hymnbook of Baptist Churches in Brazil. He founded the Baptist Theological Seminary of Northern Brazil, located in the city of Recife (PE) and was secretary of the Board of National Missions of the Brazilian Baptist Convention.<\/p>\n

He was the First Pastor of the First Baptist Church in S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o de Meriti, exercising his mandate from 1925 to 1926. In 1894 he founded the newspaper As Boas Novas.<\/p>\n

He was arrested on January 9, 1894 in the city of S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis when he preached the gospel, but after 10 days he was released. In this city today there are more than thirty Baptist churches.<\/p>\n

On April 8, 1902, in Macei\u00f3, he translated the hymn Uma barca naufragando, who will be worth it? who is part of the Christian Singer.

In 1912, arriving in London, coming from Lisbon, booked a ticket to New York. Some trips were suppressed, leaving Ginsburg to choose between traveling on the Majestic on April 2 or Titanic on April 10.<\/p>\n

The desire to embark on the great era of the Titanic, but decided to anticipate his departure for New York. Traveling on a very modest ship, Ginsburg arrived in New York on April 15, that tragic Sunday.<\/p>\n

He was a Mason, being founder of the Masonic Lodge Aux\u00edlio \u00e0 Virtude, in the city of S\u00e3o Fid\u00e9lis.<\/p>\n
